Spacewolf is a recording studio in Somerset, England. Brimming with inspiring character & creative atmosphere.

Situated in the tiny city of Wells, just eight miles from the Glastonbury Festival site, and opposite what was once the main EMI factory, Spacewolf is a four room recording and rehearsal facility. Opened in 2016 by Luke Stidson (better known for his work as the principal songwriter/producer in accidental BBC Radio 1 darlings ‘Twin Falls’), it houses a unique collection of vintage and modern instruments and equipment.

Somewhat frustrated with other recording studios having a penchant for catering towards audio engineers and not the artists themselves, the studio’s main focus is to create real world records with real world musicians.

We’re hugely proud to be the only studio in the area to have playlist positions from the likes of BBC Radio1 & BBC 6Music, not to mention numerous other accolades given to our discography of recorded work.

We’re now taking bookings online for BAND REHEARSALS in our large Wells live room. Day sessions (10am-6pm) £57.00. Night sessions (6pm-Midnight) £37.00.

Looking for a full equipment list?

…we don’t publish one. We feel strongly that your choice of studio should be based upon the work that we’ve created and not a list of part numbers. That being said, if you’re an engineer who wishes to dry hire our space, feel free to get in touch and ask for our most up-to-date gear list – and should you require anything we don’t have, the chances are we can get it in for you. Given our strong links with reputable hire companies and friendly private collectors, we reckon we can source pretty much anything (subject to hire fees).
